Cropped tee

Hello, after a long long time. A new outfit, finally. Last few weeks have been busy and tiresome. These pics have been shot a couple of weeks ago. The news are that i cut my hair, i really really like the asymmetric look. What do you think?

I found some time to go shopping too. These are my new babies, they are super comfy and soft. I practically wear them every day.

Cropped tee: old zara thrifted - self made, shoes: , shades: toi&moi
The cropped tee i' m wearing is self thrifted. It used to be an old, long shirt, worn out that needed an immediate renewal. I cut it out using an exacto knife in a moment of inspiration. It was super easy, i totally recommend  trying this at home. Just be careful not to cut any fingers, cause the exacto knife is sharp. Make sure the surface you are working on is scratch resistant. I, myself, used a kitchen cutting board.

In stripes

I love stripes, Stella loves stripes. They make us happy and smiley! It's a simple outfit and yet vibrant and classy.

Top: helmi, heels: local store, jeans: staff & co
Lately, we have a new obsession, BRACELETS!!! Stella wears eight rubber bracelets on one hand, as you can see below. She prefers the ones with sweets on them. She currently owns one with an ice cream, a piece of cake and a muffin. How cute is that!

And these are my bracelets. I am wearing only two in each hand. I made the friendship bracelet on my own, the other one is a gift. Purple is the main color and as i have many purple clothes it goes well with everything!

On my other wrist, the colorful beaded bracelet is again made by me. I have to give credits, though, to my lovely colleague Alexandra for giving me a bunch of beads and lots of inspiration. Thank you Alexandra!!! Lots of kisses...

Joanna's new shoes!!

Our lovely friend Joanna sent as photos of her new, sexy pumps. She just added two pairs to her collection. Both are peep-toed, totally suited for spring.

Pink suede and slinkback is the first pair. She opted for a wooden heel, tall enough to accentuate her foot's curve.

As you can see, the second ones are nude colored. They elevate every outfit from morning to evening. I think it's a great choice!

Nude pumps: migato, pink pumps: local store.

Stella by the river

Purple turtleneck: zara, pink sweater: tally weijl, Jeans: esprit, shoes: adidas, bag: lolli pops
And here's an outfit post after ages. Actually, these photos were taken spontaneously during our walk by the river on the Easter vacation.

Those shoes were the best choice for walking because they are very comfortable. They are also casual chic and have a lovely color. Purrrrple!

Another lollipops bag, from our small collection. I think Stella bought this one last year and she drags it with her most of the time.

I kinda enjoy making animated gifs. If you stare long enough, it makes you nauseous though :P

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone! I hope you had a great Easter vacation. Ours was relaxing and fun!

We enjoyed nature and had lots of traditional Greek food. We strolled in the woods, heard the birds singing and escaped from the town's noise.

We even saw some of nature's -not so wild- creatures.

And for the finale, here's our river. It was the only thing moving fast and aggressive. It seemed angry and because of the heavy rain it almost flooded.

Skirt magically turned into a dress!

Well hello there! I know it's been a while since our last post. But here we are again. Another post with the most anticipated skirt worn as a dress.

I think it's a brilliant idea to wear a maxi skirt as a dress. Especially, cause this summer maxis are hot items. I think they can be very versatile and change your style quickly, effortlessly.

Skirt turned into a dress: vintage, Belt: Axilleas accessories, Bracelet: vintage mum's, Sunglasses vintage mum's , Shoes: Kamoulakos

Easter vacay is approaching fast. For some of you it may has already started. What are your plans? Where do you indend to go? My goal is to get as much sleep as i can. Hope you enjoy and have lots of fun!!!

Vintage maxi skirt

Yesterday i dug deep into my mom's closet and I came across this floral skirt. At first I was pondering on its length, but when i tried it on i knew i should share it with you.

Floral skirt: vintage, blouse: zara, sunnies: persol vintage.
I was sooo happy with my new finding that i wanted to dance! Later on, i found out that it used to belong to my very stylish aunt Kiki. Thank you auntie!!!

My sister who always thinks outside the box, came up with this wonderful idea on how to wear this skirt in a different way. Another post is under way ...

Shades of grey

Sis strikes again! Isn't she gorgeous? I love her sooo much.

Grey blouse: heels, pink blouse: h&m, belt: vintage, pants: sarah lawrence, flats: zara, bag: kem, earrings: hliaxtida in Milos
She is off to university in that look. She loves grey and pink and i think this outfit totally matches with Spring season. This bag is very comfortable and has enough space for all the appropriate things you need in your everyday life.

And the strawberry earrings! She bought them last summer during our stay in the beautiful island of Milos.

I baked a cake again. This time i used the recipe i found on the back of the flour package. The recipe was so simple that i decided to make the process more interesting by decorating it. What do you think? Would you like to have a taste?

In the garden

Goodmorning everyone! These photos were taken last Sunday, as i was preparing to go to a party later that afternoon.
T-shirt:levis thrifted, belt vintage, highwaisted pants shark, shoes Stuart Weitzman.
Red and black seemed appropriate for the occasion. So, after playing a little dress up in front of my mirror this is the outfit i came up with.

Those shoes are super feminine and fit well with every outfit. Not to mention how comfortable they are...

I also spent some time in the kitchen bakin' peanutbutter cookies. They are delish! Recipe found here

Purple happiness

My absolutely favorite color is PURPLE!!! I love to add purple details in my outfits.

Cardigan sarah lawrence, tank top zara, boots off road, cutoffs swapped, floral tights old, necklace gifted.

This necklace is so fun. It makes my day. It's a cat chasing after a mouse. The poor mouse is doomed to be trapped in an eternal chase.

A couple of days ago I baked this delicious cake. It is butter and egg free. It is soooo yummy that my sister ate half of it in one day. I found the recipe here.

Oh, happy day!

Last Sunday was amazing. The weather, the sun, everything! Sis and i decided to go for a walk in the park, enjoy the sun and have fun.

This bag is so lovely. It's actually from lollipops. I totally love this shop. Whenever i get in, i never come out empty handed :P
Dress bershka, bag lollipops, cardigan ysatis, leather jacket zara
This dress is the epitome of a girly girl's style; heart dots and just the right length. Makes you smile doesn't it?

The third wedding - The outfit

Hello, there again! Another outfit post. This time inspired by my new diy book clutch.

Top Zara, pants Bershka, belt vintage, diy clutch, bracelet Dimoulitsa.

This bracelet is hand made and it belongs to my mom. We bought it as a gift for her in a small jewelry shop in Parga, a very beatiful city of Northern Greece. Miss Dimoulitsa runs the shop herself. She is a very creative person and really friendly and polite. You should definitely visit it whenever you go there!

As already mentioned the idea to make a book clutch came when i read the post of 'The cherry blossom girl'. So after a small research on the web i gathered a few ideas from a plethora of tutorials on how to make my book clutch. You can find a few examples here, here and here.

I added a more luxurius touch by painting the exterior of the pages with a gold permanent marker.

Unfortunately, i didn't keep any photos during the procedure. The outcome is surprisingly pleasing, don't you think?

Last but not least i was a little bit curious on clutch bags, so i gathered a few info on their history in women's fashion. One thing is for sure, clutches are not a modern invention. They first came out during the early 1800's and they were first named reticules. A lady of quality carried her handkerchief and smelling salts in her reticule, along with, perhaps, a packet of rice papers to dull a shiny spot on the face. They gradually came out of fashion in early 1900's, but experienced a resurgence in popularity during World War II. With rationing, the smaller clutch required less material for manufacture and fit in well with a wartime mindset (source 1,2)

The third wedding

I must admit that when i saw alix of the 'The cherry blossom girl' holding this book clutch i got a little bit jealous!

After a small research on the nets, i found some diy projects giving simple instructions on how to make your own book clutch (the original is quite pricey). I found a hardcovered book and i started cutting and glueing its pages.  Although, it's still a work in progress, i thought it's worth sharing with you some pics. What do you think?

The book's title is 'The third wedding', thus the title of this post. Actually it's author is really famous in Greece. I saw the theatre play last year, it was a great hit.

An outfit post is coming out soon, i hope ;)
